As we approach the event dates for VBS, JBD Catholics would like to thank you for allowing your children to participate in this summer event.
If possible, we are asking for donations towards our Outreach Ministry. This ministry helps families within our community. They are greatly in need of: Peanut Butter, Pasta and Cereal. The crew with the most participation will win a special prize on the last day!
Each crew will be in age appropriate groups, rotating stations every 20-25 minutes:
- snack and learn the day's Saint (Snacks)
- experience the bible story of the day (Bible Adventure)
- create and learn about our catholic faith and the Catholic ID of the day (Imagination Station)
- play high-energy games outside w/water (Games)
*Please dress your child in appropriate clothes and shoes as they will get wet during the games. Your child can wear a bathing suit with a coverup and/or bring a beach towel to cover up. We understand that you might want to send extra clothes with your children; however, it is not within our safe environment teaching. Also, it extends the rotation time and your child will be delayed for the next station. You are more than welcome to join your child, but please understand that you can only assist your child if your are not part of the VBS team and/or VIRTUS trained.
*Dismissal: We invite you to join us for our closing at 8:30pm where we will recap the events of the day. Hopefully, we will be timely; however, sometimes the Holy Spirit has other plans. Please be patient with our volunteers. For safety, we will have one door for entry and one for exit. You must pick up your child(ren) in person; they will not be able to go outside the doors without a parent. As you arrive, pick up your child(ren) craft and goodie bag from their table. After the closing, in a first come/first serve line, we will begin dismissing by parent. This will ensure that all kids get to their families safely.
We will have a photographer taking pictures for our VBS memories. If you prefer your child NOT be photographed, please see the VBS director, Anna Boyles, prior to leaving your child for the event.

At Scuba, kids are immersed in a single Bible point, Saint, Catholic ID, and Scripture each Day. They hear, see, touch, and even taste experiences that saturate their hearts with one memorable truth of our Catholic faith. The result is learning that sticks with them, gets remembered, and applied to their lives. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 830pm.

Vacation Bible School/VBS is a fun way for your child to get involved this summer.
1 – Fun, faith-filled enriching activities!

3 – VBS is an opportunity for your child get out of the house and learn about Jesus! Your child is active and you get some free time too!
4 – VBS is a chance for you and your child to make new friends and build up the parish community!
