What is a Quince?

A Quinceañera is a coming of age ritual where a young girl renews her baptismal promises and is presented to her community as a young lady, the term also refers to the young girl who is being celebrated.

qUINCEAñERA MASS

A traditional Quinceañera celebration takes place around the girls 15th birthday, with the latter being the Quinceañera's presentation before God and a promise to honer herself and her faith.

Unlike, a baptism or confirmation, a Quinceñera mass is not a Catholic sacrament.

Requirments

1.

Must attend Retreat (fall or spring option)

2.

Must be enrolled in Religious Education

3.

Must provide 10 hours of church service prior to quince

4.

Family is to arrange 2 lectors for readings

5.

Family is to arrange with choirs/music.

6.

Family to arrive 30 - 60 minutes before mass starts

7.

Modesty - For mass, Quinceaneras and party (damas, madrinas and even guest) are asked to dress with modesty.
